Logline: A world in chaos needs heroes; and that hero lies in each of us.
Almost 30 years after it originally aired in 1995, 'Xena Warrior Princess' continues to delight audiences with its campy, yet socially aware, stories of redemption, friendship, loyalty, and love, and inspires fans to be true to themselves; to love humanity in all its colors, shapes and forms; and to defend what is right even when it is not easy.
Xena intentionally challenged social boundaries in the ‘90’s–a TV series led by 2 “kickass” females, without a male lead; interracial casting and relationships; flirting with “subtext” that attracted a loyal LGBTQ audience. Does Xena have a message for the world today?

Zydeco by Birth will illustrate the evolution of Zydeco music and the history of Black French Creoles through the story of the Carriere/Carrier family. The Carrier family is a dynasty of Zydeco musicians whose story provides a window into the Louisiana Creole experience. The family story demonstrates how Black French Creole sharecroppers in the early 20th century created a unique Louisiana musical genre that continues to inspire musicians and dancers across the globe. Spanning over a century of oral and recorded tradition, living members of the Carrier family still perform and record (with notable Grammy success).
